After the initial inquiry on May 29th, 2022, the South African customer visited our factory in China on June 12th, 2022. During this visit, the client had the opportunity to witness our production process, the quality of our equipment, and our professional service. Moreover, we offered factory prices and ready stock for him. And our engineers informed him these machines are shipped as a whole, eliminating the need for installation. And the equipment is steel-wire bound to prevent damage during transportation. Therefore, they were extremely satisfied with the proposed plan and made the decision to purchase on June 15th, 2022. All in all, this transaction was successful, with a total price at ZAR712,500 ($38,150USD) after applying a certain discount, including all equipment with belt conveyors and transportation costs.
Ⅱ. Appropriate Transportation Plan
After confirming the transaction, we began preparations for delivery. Before shipping, we provided a trial run video of the equipment, so the client is at ease. Furthermore, We estimated a shipping cost of ZAR53,000 or $2,800, and the total transit time was around 35-40 days.
At the beginning, we would send these equipment in a container from our factory on June 30th, 2022, first to the port of Shanghai. From there, they were transported via sea route to Durban port in South Africa. Upon arrival in South Africa in August 5th, 2022, the client arranged transport to their factory in Johannesburg.
As the equipment was shipped as a whole and did not require installation, he was able to begin using them in their factory immediately. Therefore, by August 10th, 2022, the machines were in operation at the South African customer’s fertilizer factory, located just outside of Johannesburg.
